A loss

A few days ago, Roxy the family dog died.

At 9 years old, she had suffered from several tumours over the last few years as well an an ongoing saga of problems after a broken femur.  Finally a sudden and aggressive tumour killed her.

There’s not much more to say except that we miss her.

Sorry to hear it, microsaur. Nine years old is way too young for a dog to go.

Thanks for the thoughts, Doug. Yup it was a shame. Sadder too, that a family breakup meant that she probably hasn’t had all the attention and company she needed over the last couple of years. (She stayed with the ex. I don’t have the space for an active dog.) Roxy and I used to be pretty close. 😦

She’s buried in the yard that she lived in, along with Icarus, the dog before her. He made it to 14-1/2.
